Publication Ethics
The International Journal of Architectural Engineering & Urban Planning (IJAUP) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, research integrity, and responsible scholarly publishing.
The Journal’s editorial policies and ethical practices are developed in accordance with the internationally recognized principles of publication ethics and are informed by the Core Practices and guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The Journal is committed to ensuring fairness, transparency, confidentiality, accountability, and integrity throughout the editorial and publication process.
Responsibilities of Authors
Authors submitting manuscripts to IJAUP are expected to:
Authorship
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the conception, design, execution, interpretation, or writing of the research.
All Authors should approve the final version of the manuscript prior to submission.
Any request to add, remove, or rearrange Authors after submission must be supported by the written agreement of all Authors and approved by the Editor.
Individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet the criteria for authorship should be acknowledged appropriately.
Research Integrity
The Journal is committed to protecting the integrity of the scholarly record.
The following practices are considered unacceptable:
Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools may be used only as supportive tools for improving language or readability.
AI systems cannot be listed as Authors and cannot assume responsibility for the accuracy, originality, or integrity of scholarly work.
Where AI tools have made a material contribution to manuscript preparation, Authors should disclose such use in accordance with the Journal’s AI Policy.

Reviewers are expected to:

Editors are responsible for ensuring an independent, impartial, and confidential editorial process.
Editorial decisions are based solely on the scholarly merit of submitted manuscripts, including originality, scientific quality, methodological soundness, significance, clarity, and relevance to the Journal’s scope.
Editors are expected to:
All manuscripts submitted to the Journal are treated as confidential documents.
Editors, Reviewers, Editorial Board members, and Journal staff must not disclose or use unpublished information obtained during the editorial process except where necessary for legitimate editorial purposes.
Competing Interests
Authors, Editors, and Reviewers are required to disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence—or reasonably be perceived to influence—the editorial or scientific evaluation of a manuscript.
Appropriate measures will be taken to ensure an independent and unbiased editorial process whenever competing interests exist.
Complaints and Appeals
The Journal considers complaints and appeals fairly, objectively, and promptly.
Appeals should be supported by clear scientific or ethical justification.
The Editor-in-Chief may consult additional Editors or independent experts before reaching a final decision.
Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern
Where necessary, the Journal will publish corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern to preserve the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record.
Such editorial actions are undertaken in accordance with the Journal’s editorial policies and internationally recognized ethical principles.

- promptly notify the Journal if a significant error or inaccuracy is identified after submission or publication.
