Archiving and Access Policy

The International Journal of Applied and Fundamental Aging Research (IJAUP) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, sustainable accessibility, and integrity of the scholarly content it publishes. This archiving policy is established in accordance with internationally accepted academic publishing standards and the principles of the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial (CC BY-NC) license, with the aim of safeguarding authors’ rights while enabling broad, non-commercial access to published research.

Discoverability and Indexing

Articles published in the International Journal of Applied and Fundamental Aging Research (IJAUP) are made discoverable through reputable abstracting and indexing platforms and scholarly databases. These mechanisms enhance the visibility, accessibility, and citation of the journal’s content at the international level. Submitted Manuscript (Preprint)

Authors are permitted to archive the originally submitted version of their manuscript (preprint) in institutional repositories, subject-based repositories, or recognized preprint servers, provided that:

  • the manuscript is clearly identified as a preprint;
  • the use and distribution of the material are strictly non-commercial;
  • ethical publishing standards and intellectual property rights are respected in accordance with the CC BY-NC license.

Accepted Manuscript (Author Accepted Manuscript – AAM)

Following formal acceptance, authors may archive the accepted version of their manuscript prior to publisher formatting and typesetting in institutional or disciplinary repositories, subject to the following conditions:

  • proper acknowledgment of the International Journal of Applied and Fundamental Aging Research (IJAUP) as the original source of publication;
  • compliance with any applicable embargo periods defined by the journal;
  • adherence to the non-commercial use requirements of the CC BY-NC license.

Published Version (Version of Record)

The final published version of each article, which constitutes the authoritative Version of Record, is permanently preserved and made accessible through the official website of the International Journal of Applied and Fundamental Aging Research (IJAUP) and the publisher’s digital archiving infrastructure. This version is distributed under the CC BY-NC license, allowing non-commercial use, sharing, and redistribution with appropriate attribution and without alteration of the scholarly record.
