Copyright & Licensing Policy

The International Journal of Architectural Engineering & Urban Planning (IJAUP) is a fully open-access journal committed to the widest possible dissemination of scholarly research while respecting authors’ intellectual property rights.
All articles published in IJAUP are made freely and permanently available immediately upon publication.

Copyright Ownership
Authors publishing in IJAUP retain full copyright ownership of their work.
Publication in IJAUP does not require the transfer or assignment of copyright to the Journal, the Publisher, or Iran University of Science and Technology.
The Journal recognizes the Author(s) as the copyright holders of the published Article.

License to Publish
As a condition of publication, Authors grant the Journal a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free License to Publish the Article.
This License authorizes the Journal to:
  • publish the Article in print and electronic formats;
  • identify itself as the original publisher;
  • distribute and communicate the Article worldwide;
  • archive and preserve the published Version of Record;
  • assign Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs);
  • deposit metadata and content in indexing, abstracting, discovery, preservation, and repository services;
  • maintain the official published version of the Article.
This publishing license does not transfer copyright ownership.

Long-term Preservation
The Journal is committed to the long-term preservation of published scholarly content through recognized preservation and archiving mechanisms.

Third-party Material
Where third-party copyrighted material is included, Authors are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions before publication.

Changes to Published Articles
The Journal follows COPE recommendations concerning:
  • corrections;
  • expressions of concern;
  • retractions;
  • withdrawals.
