Significant increasing in climate changes and extreme consuming of non- renewable energy resources have been caused to spreading the studies on the morphology of the human settlements and energy performances relations. Therefore, the present study aims at exploring the aspects of urban form associating with urban energy demands and performances according to the transformation of urban form. The main structure of the research has been founded on the investigating urban morphological aspects and energy performances of a single tissue in hot and semi-arid climate (Isfahan) from two points in time. The results demonstrate the paradoxical behaviors of energy efficiency in confronting with the urban form transformation regarding to heating and cooling energy demands in hot and cold seasons.
